Karachi :Sindh Minister for Information Transport and Mass Transit Sharjeel Inam Memon has given a 1 month target to Sindh Mass Transit Authority to make the Orange Line bus project operational.

Orange line Bus : A meeting of Sindh Mass Transit Authority was held under the chairmanship of Minister Sharjeel Memon in which the provincial minister directed Secretary Transport Sindh to expedite work on Orange Line Bus project by meeting SIDCL.
Sharjeel said that he would personally talk to Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal so that project could-be completed.
Sharjeel memon said that Orange Line bus should be made operational within a month to provide safe and comfortable travel facilities to the citizens of Orangi Town & adjoining areas.
It was decided to make Orange Line bus service in Karachi operational in a month.
Orange Line bus BRT service will provide convenience to citizens of Orangi Town & adjoining areas.
A detailed briefing on Karachi Circular Railway Blue Line Bus Brown Line Bus & BRT was given in the meeting chaired by Sindh Minister for Transport Sharjeel Memon & important decisions were taken.
Minister Sharjeel Memon directed Secretary Transport Sindh to meet SIDCL and expedite the work on Orange Line bus project & said that he would personally talk to Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal so that the project could be completed.
Minister Sharjeel Memon has been given the portfolio of Transport Department
It was informed in the briefing that 98% civil work of Orange Line project from Orangi Town to Board Office has-been completed.
According to reports money was paid to the concerned agency for purchase of 20 buses.
