News of an alleged drone strike in North Waziristan has-been circulating on Pakistani social media since Sunday.

A report circulating on social media said that the  United States US drone strike in Shawal area of ​​North Waziristan had killed seven members of the same family and injured three others.

Fake News  about Drone Attack : Shawal is located on the border of North & South Waziristan, which has a very small population.

Waziristan : Apparently the fabric of this news on social media is being linked to current political situation in which it is being said that United States US drone strikes have started after Former Pm Imran Khan,s departure from the PM's post and that Former PM Imran Khan's However  United States  US could not carry out drone strikes on Pakistan.

The North Waziristan deputy commissioner denies drone strike

The Deputy Commissioner North Waziristan Shahid Ali said in a video message on his Social Media  Facebook account  said that no drone strike had taken place anywhere in North Waziristan & that the news circulating on social media was incorrect.

Deputy Commissioner  termed the news as baseless & fabricated and appealed to journalists & social media Facebook and Other persons to show responsibility in such sensitive situations & avoid baseless news.

On the other hand local journalist Mr Noor Behram said in a video message on social media that some sources had reported the drone strike in the North Waziristan but later when he contacted  administrative officers & police about it the attack was confirmed from nowhere. Could-not

In this regard a video is also circulating on social media in which the drone is seen flying investigation of which-has revealed that this video is from the year 2015.
