PM Shehbaz Sharif announces Metro Bus project for Quetta

Metro Bus Quetta :Prepare feasibility report if metro is possible in Quetta we should start work on it quickly Shahbaz Sharif directed

QUETTA Metro Bus : Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has announced a metro bus project for Quetta. Addressing a function held in Quetta on Saturday Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said that  program of Metro Bus in Quetta had been prepared during the tenure of Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif but it was incomplete.

He said that if Metro is possible in Quetta then we should start work on it as soon as possible. Prime Minister of Pakistan Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif also laid the foundation stone 4 the restoration of Khuzdar Kuchlak highway and its construction. Chairman National Highway Authority Capt Retired Muhammad Khurram Agha briefed the Prime Minister about construction project.

Metro Bus QUETTA :Initially construction work has been started on 2 sections of Khuzdar Kuchlak highway with a length of 102 km.

QUETTA Metro Bus BRT :According to the Chairman NHA this highway is Karachi. Quetta Chaman is part of National Highway N 25 which is being doubled and Rs. 3000 million has been allocated for its construction in 2021-22. He said that completion period of this project is three years opening of this road will raise standard of living of the people here & will have a very positive impact on economic development.

He said that 37 bridges and 1000 culverts would be constructed on this 4 lane highway. The NHA said that the process of construction &  development in Balochistan province was expedited on the directives of Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif.

He said that total length of National Highway Authority network is 14480 km out of which 4566 km roads are located in Balochistan Khuzdar. The contract cost of section 1  of Kuchlak highway is Rs. 8786 million while  contract cost of section two is Rs. 9271 million.
