Good news for Karachi Citizens first batch of 121 hybrid buses left from China


The provincial government is ordering a total of 250 modern hybrid Redlines buses from China : Owais Qadir Shah

The good news for Karachi residents is that the first consignment of 121 hybrid Red Line buses has left China.



Sindh Transport Minister Owais Qadir Shah said that the buses would reach Karachi in 18 days. The provincial government was ordering a total of 250 modern buses from China.


The Sindh Transport Minister said that out of these 250 hybrid Red buses 240 will be operated in Karachi and 10 in Larkana.



Under this project hybrid buses Red line will run on more than 15 routes in 6 districts of Karachi while Sindh government has already set up bus stops for hybrid inter city transport project in different parts of metropolis.


The first consignment of hybrid buses from China was delayed due to Corona virus epidemic & the Spring Festival.

It should be noted that Owais Shah has become the first provincial minister to successfully implement the public transport project for Karachi, Sindh.


According to Owais Shah announcement Sindh Transport Department will purchase 240 modern buses 4 Karachi & 10 for Larkana. On the other hand Green Line Bus Service has extended its operational hours by 2 hours to facilitate Eid buyers.
