ALTON STERLING'S DEATH-ANOTHER BLACK MAN SHOOTING IN US

Alton Sterling, 37, lost his life in a police killing on Tuesday, after being  shot multiple times in the chest and back by cops on Tuesday outside of a convenience store in Baton Rouge, Louisiana where he frequently sold CDs.

He joins the growing  list of black men and women who have died at the hands of cops in the US. The aftermath of each tragedy is emotionally draining as we mourn the loss of a life violently taken by the police, and as we reflect on how painfully familiar each killing becomes.

AS protests against his death continue, another video [not shown here] emerges showing another black man being shot by cops in Minessota.

His death follows a long line of high-profile incidents involving African Americans at the hands of the police, igniting a national debate about the lethal use of force.
The officers involved in Tuesday's shooting -- Blane Salamoni and Howie Lake II -- have been placed on administrative leave.
